Tales of Suspense #39 is a comic book issue that was published by Marvel Comics in 1963. It is significant because it features the first appearance of Iron Man, a character who would go on to become one of Marvel’s most popular and enduring heroes.
The issue was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Don Heck, and tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist who is kidnapped and forced to build a weapon for his captors.
